I wanted to touch base on a few things for the Ringette bottle drive fundraiser that normally takes place at the start of the season. Because of COVID and all the uncertainty and policies that are in place, weâ€™ve decided that instead of doing a door to door bottle drive, we will do a personal family bottle drive with 2 optional drop off dates.
There will be one on July 16th, 4-8 pm. drop off location at Bow Valley High School in Riversong, and the second will be August 27th from 4 to 8 at the same location.
The thought is this will allow families that may have already returned some bottles or are away at the beginning of the summer to have an alternative time to drop off.
The fundraising requirement is 10 black garbage bags per family or a $50 flat fee. This year we are running team cash differently. The Cochrane Ringette association is covering team costs, (ice and power skating). All money raised is staying at the association level. The $50 fee is just to ensure we break even. With all summer to collect bottles from friends and family, two drop off dates, and accommodations offered if those dates canâ€™t work, we are hoping this wonâ€™t be a big deal for families.

As mentioned please note: This Bottle drop-off will be in lieu of a door to door bottle drive so that we can guarantee our kiddoâ€™s safety.
